I am Assistant Professor at Center of Applied Information and Communication Technologies (CAICT), Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. I pursued my Post Doctoral research at INRIA, Sophia Antipolis, France and I hold a PhD in Computer Science from the University Paul Sabatier Toulouse, France . The title of my PhD is: “User Models and User Modeling for Knowledge Management Systems: an Ontology-based Approach”.  I have an engineering background and a MSc in electrical engineering, obtained from University of Galati, Romania. Furthermore, I have worked at INSEAD, Center of Advanced Learning Technologies (CALT), France, University of Leeds, Computer Based Learning Unit, UK and University of Galati.

In general, I am conducting interdisciplinary research in the areas of User Modeling, Semantic Web, Social Web, new technologies (web services and grid computing), Applied Artificial Intelligence (ontology-based knowledge representation, software agents) and Human-Computer Interaction (personalization techniques). The main application domains for my research are e-Learning, e-Government and Information Systems (Knowledge Management). Previous publications include more than 40 refereed papers including journal articles, book chapters, conference papers and reports in my core research areas.
